Web Content Management
WiscWeb CMS is a web content management service that enables you to easily deliver an engaging online experience for students, potential students, parents, faculty, staff, and interested visitors.
WiscWeb CMS provides website authoring, collaboration and administration tools designed to allow users with little knowledge of web programming languages or markup languages to create and manage the site's content with relative ease.
In short, WiscWeb CMS allows non-technical users to update and make changes to a website with very little training.
Service Description
WiscWeb CMS is available to departments on the UW-Madison Campus and includes the following:
- Template import and site development
- Site review with each customer
- Custom site training
- Website hosting for static content
- Support for your WiscWeb CMS site before, during, and after going live
Cost of the Service
The WiscWeb CMS Service is fully funded. That means that DoIT does not charge any fees for this service.
Training
All users will receive training that is customized for their website. There is general training available, as well, which is designed to cover the basics of most sites using standard templates. Please see the schedule of upcoming classes for WiscWeb CMS General Training.
