WiscChat Plus Logo

WiscChat Plus is a free Jabber-based instant messaging service that can be enabled for any WiscMail Plus domain.

Once enabled for your WiscMail Plus domain, WiscChat Plus will allow any user or role based account the ability to log in to the WiscChat service. In addition to all the WiscChat features, WiscChat Plus domains will have access to the following features:

  • Conference rooms can be created in the conference.domain.wisc.edu area by any user.
  • Administrators can send messages to all chat users for their domain (message of the day or announcement).
  • Administrators can administer/destroy any conference room within their domain.
  • Administrators can enable groupchat logging for any conference room in their domain (users cannot enable/disable groupchat logging).
