Platforms:
This service provides a production and test web publishing environments for the Linux/Apache and Windows/IIS platforms.
- Windows/IIS: Allows for ASP.NET and either utilize an Access DB located within the site and/or partner with DoIT developer and connect to an Oracle DB provided by the DoIT DRMT group.
- Linux/Apache (LAMP): This platform allows for PHP scripting and MySQL database(s) and also the ability to partner with DoIT developers to connect to an Oracle DB provided by DRMT
Service Levels:
There are three service levels with the major distinctions being quota (size of web site) and scripting privileges (asp.net, php)
Bronze = Static content only (no PHP/ASP/.Net support)
Silver = PHP/ASP/.Net supported only if partnering with DoIT developers.
Gold = PHP/ASP/.Net supported without DoIT developer partnership.
A web account is defined as a folder on either platform with a quota assigned to it. As an example; a department needing both Linux/Apache and Windows/IIS technologies would require two web accounts.
Each web account gets 2 domains: 1 domain is earmarked as a "test" domain and is ideal for developing/testing content before release. The other domain is the customer's Production domain; customers should only advertise their Production domain and reserve the test domain for development and testing.
