Here are links to other important IT groups on Campus and in the Madison Community. We invite suggestions, comments, and tips pertaining to other web sites you would like to see included as a resource to all.

Association of Information Systems Professionals (AISP)

AISP aims to bridge the gap between the academic world of information technology and industry information technology.

UW Mac Administrators Group

Meetings will be held monthly (with the exception of June) and will include occasional planned topics, discussion of current issues, as well as a time for general talk and Q&A. Future meeting times, content, and other information will always be available at The Mac Admin Web Page.

Join the Mac Admin mailing list. The mailing list will be used as the official reference for who's a part of this group.

Madison .NET User Group

Madison Linux Users Group

MadLUG, the Madison Linux Users Group, is a group of Linux enthusiasts, including academics, students, IT professionals and many others.

LOPSA-Madison

LOPSA-Madison meets monthly on the second Wednesday of the month at various locations in and around the Madison area. LOPSA membership is not required for attendance and participation in LOPSA-Madison, but joining LOPSA is strongly encouraged. We invite everyone in the system administration community to present topics from their expertise or experiences. People are available to assist others in writing and performing presentations, as well.

Madison PC Users

The Madison PC Users Group has something for every level of computer user, from new user to networking professional.

Monthly general meeting topics range from technical presentations on leading software and hardware products to how-to presentations by expert users. Question and Answer sessions are available.

Many special interest groups are available for a wide range of interests. These usually meet monthly at various locations and times. Current SIG offerings include software (such Java, Quicken, and Visual Basic), networking, operating systems, desktop publishing, investment, and one especially for new users. For those interested in volunteer work, the Community SIG helps out local neighborhood centers and is also working on several other community projects.

Madison WebSphere Group

The Madison WebSphere User Group (MWUG) is a non-profit group for the WebSphere user community in southern Wisconsin. The goal is to learn and share WebSphere best practices across a variety of platforms.

All WebSphere developers and administrators are welcome.

Midwest Oracle Users Group

The MOUG is comprised of people of many diverse backgrounds who share a common interest in the Oracle Relational Database and related products. Among our members one will find employees of companies large and small, technical experts, novice users, Oracle VAR's, and Oracle employees.

.Net Group

Administrators of Microsoft's .Net technology have set up a portal where they have placed code samples from their user group meetings. It has schedules of future meetings.

Oracle Listserve

This list is for people at the UW who are interested in Oracle. It is a place to ask questions of our colleagues. It is also used to announce local (Madison) training opportunities and other Oracle-related events that might be of interest to the UW Oracle community.
