Access 1

In this course, students will learn the basics of Microsoft Office Access, a database creation and management tool. Access 1 instructs students how to create and enhance simple tables, queries, forms and reports using a variety of tools such as "wizards" and the design view.

Topics include

  • What is Access?
  • What is a Database and the Terminology?
  • Designing, Creating and Modifying Tables
  • Entering and Manipulating Data
  • Looking up One Table's Data from Another Table
  • Locating Records
  • Creating Simple Forms
  • Creating Simply Reports

This class has the following prerequisites: Excel 1.

Note: If you feel you have adequate experience without taking the prerequisite STS classes, you can still register, but please review the material before attending the class.
