Illustrator 1 is an introduction to Adobe Illustrator, a vector-based drawing program used for creating graphic design items such as logos, fine art, posters and other vector shape creation.
Topics include
- Using the Illustrator interface
- Selecting and displaying tools
- Showing and hiding palettes
- Arranging the toolbox and palettes
- Viewing, creating and editing artwork inside the artwork window
- Drawing basic paths and shapes with the pencil tool
- Drawing basic paths and shapes with the pen tool
- Applying color and creating gradients
- Creating and formatting type
This class has the following prerequisites: None.
Note: If you feel you have adequate experience without taking the prerequisite STS classes,
you can still register, but please review the material before attending the class.
