LaTeX

LaTeX is a document markup language and document preparation system. This free software is used by many in the University for preparing academic papers, due to the high quality of typesetting that it provides. It is especially powerful in creating documents that include complicated mathematical equations, or the careful use of technical diagrams.

Topics include:

  • Introduction to LaTeX
  • Creating a New Document
  • Basic Text Formatting
  • Basic Equation Formatting
  • ProTeXt Installation Guide

This class has the following prerequisites: None.

Note: If you feel you have adequate experience without taking the prerequisite STS classes, you can still register, but please review the material before attending the class.
