SQL
Structured Query Language (SQL) is the language used to interact with databases in programs such as Access and Oracle and is also often integrated with Web languages such as PHP. In this class, we will be using the open source MySQL to write our own database queries.
Topics include:
- Formulating Basic Queries
- Accessing Database Information
- Creating and Altering Tables in a Database
- Updating and Deleting Records
- Using Advanced Searching Techniques
This class has the following prerequisites: Knowledge of Access, Oracle or applicable Web languages.
Note: If you feel you have adequate experience without taking the prerequisite STS classes,
you can still register, but please review the material before attending the class.
