Voice Mail Tutorial

Initializing Your Mailbox

The next step is calling the voice mail system to initialize your mailbox.

You will need the following things before you call:

  1. your mailbox number (your office telephone number)
  2. the voice mail access phone number : 2-6100 on campus or 262-6100 off campus
  3. your temporary password (found in the email DoIT Voice Services sent you).

When you call and enter your mailbox for the first time, the system will guide you through a three-minute tutorial. The system will assist you in:

  • Establishing a permanent password
  • Recording your name
  • Recording your personal greeting
