Voice Mail Tutorial

Accessing Voice Mail

Described below are the procedures for accessing voice mail. The following table indicates the voice mail access numbers you can use:

Please note: 890-xxxx numbers require entering seven digits to access a voice mailbox on a 890 number or to forward a message to an 890-xxxx mailbox.

From Your Office Telephone:

  1. Call the 5-digit access number.
  2. You will hear your name.
  3. Enter your password.

From Another Voice Mail Subscriber's Phone:

  1. Call the 5-digit access number.
  2. You will hear the subscriber's name [not your name].
  3. Press [*] when prompted for a password.
  4. Enter your 5-digit mailbox number.
  5. Enter your password.

From An Internal Phone Not Assigned To a Voice Mail Subscriber:

  1. Call the 5-digit access number.
  2. You will hear the system greeting.
  3. Press [*].
  4. Enter your 5-digit mailbox number.
  5. Enter your password.

From Outside the Office in the local calling area:

  1. Call the 7-digit access number.
  2. You will hear the system greeting.
  3. Press [#].
  4. Enter your 7-digit mailbox number.
  5. Enter your password.
From Outside the Office from a long distance location:
  1. Call the 10-digit access number or the 800-Voice Mail* access number.
  2. You will hear the system greeting.
  3. Press [#].
  4. Enter your 10-digit mailbox number.
  5. Enter your password.

*Note: There is a $0.075 per-minute charge for use of the 800-number
service.
