Orientation
During your time at UW-Madison, you will have access to a broad range of information technology resources, most of them free. Faculty and instructors will expect you to have a basic understanding of these technologies, and knowing how to use them before you begin classes will increase your comfort level and save you a great deal of time.
All incoming freshmen and transfer students are expected to register for a one-hour orientation session which will highlight important user tips for each of the UW technology products and services below.
Register
The Computing @ UW Orientation will be led by Software Training for Students (STS) instructors. You can register for the Computing@UW Orientation on their web site. You will receive a reminder email about the orientation beforehand.
