Report Distribution

Description

The Report Distribution Service consists of four different applications. These are ASG-Cypress, RMS, MISPrint and JetForms.

All these products consist of taking documents from the generating system and delivering them to the intended location. The delivery can be to a networked printer throughout the state of Wisconsin, to an individual's E-Mail inbox, to a web-enabled database or to the proprietary secured ASG-Cypress inbox.

This service handles all the technical details to ensure reports are delivered from the application that creates them to the appropriate destination. This includes handling technical details, such as firewall issues, to ensure the distribution is successful. This also includes problem tracking to resolve issues of documents not being delivered as expected.

Goals and Objectives

The Objective is to maintain a single enterprise wide report distribution system that can deliver documents that are created in any platform with any application and distribute them electronically throughout the state and campus wide system.

The goal of this service is to improve the process of report distribution by making use of the array of networked devices to lower physical printing and physical delivery costs. Electronic delivery also provides more timely delivery of documents instead of waiting for the hand delivery of printed documents.
