Rental Program
UW-Madison faculty, staff and students can rent the following items from the DoIT Help Desk on a daily, weekly, monthly or semester basis.
A valid UW-Madison ID is required.
Rental check-out location and hours
Rentals are available for pickup at the Help Desk in the Computer Science Building at 1210 W. Dayton Street, just down the hall from the DoIT Tech Store.
Machines can be checked out at any time Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.
Payment
Payment for rentals can be made by cash, check or credit card. Payment is required in full at the time of equipment pickup.
Laptops for rent
All Apple laptops include: Mac OS X 10.6, Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2011, Symantec EndPoint Protection (antivirus software), and a wireless internet card.
All Dell laptops include: Windows 7, Microsoft Office 2010, Symantec EndPoint Protection (antivirus software), and a wireless internet card.

Wireless Modems for rent
Our wireless modems come complete with Verizon 3G or 4G service. All modems include unlimited data. Please note our modems only work within the US.

Modem availability: Due to high demand for our modems we recommend emailing rentals@doit.wisc.edu to set up a reservation. Please note that we only accept requests made up to 7 days in advance of the desired rental period.
Projector for rent
Our Epson 77C projector has VGA (compatible with virtually all PCs), RCA, and S-Video ports and comes with a carrying case. We also supply Apple computer display adapters with the projector upon request.
