Departmental Contract

Support description

Currently, our contracts serve 27 different campus units and over 1,500 users. We provide fixed-price and labor-based contracts that can be customized to meet unique unit needs and budgets. We are available on-site, on-call and remotely depending on customer needs. Additionally, we provide service to 20 general-access computer labs and three training labs on campus.

Contract services

Support typically includes the following services:

  • Creating and deploying OS/Application images for desktops and laptops
  • Managing desktops with Active Directory Group Policies
  • Recommending and installing new hardware
  • Securing environments with current OCIS-supplied security software and best practices
  • Analyzing and installing management systems
  • Setting up/modifying user accounts
  • Application troubleshooting
  • Build and set up/tear down full temporary environments
  • Set up/support remote networks
  • Augment/back up existing IT support staff
  • Travel off campus to perform the same duties above

Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) are part of the Dean of Students Office. We provide desktop support to funded RSOs only.
