File Transfer - Windows Internet Explorer 7

FILE TRANSFER OPTIONS

Notice: Microsoft eliminated the built in File Transfer capability in Internet Explorer 7. We found that the old IE 6 browser engine is still built into the Operating System by accessing your My Computer Icon.


Directions:

  1. Collect all print files, graphics, and fonts that are associated with your print job.
  2. Copy files, graphics, and fonts to a folder.
  3. Give the folder a distinctive name.
  4. Click on the MYCOMPUTER ICON
  5. Enter the following address in the MY COMPUTER address field and press GO.
    ftp://dpps:printing@docutech1.printing.wisc.edu/

  6. Drag your folder with the print files, graphics and fonts onto the Internet Explorer Window. This will copy the folder to our Drop Box.
  7. Note on the Order Form that the print files, graphics and fonts are in the DP&PS Drop Box.
