The XEROX Nuvera™ can scan images up to 11" x 17" at a resolution of 400 dpi. Jobs are fed through the scanner once, at a rate of up to 23 pages per minute, and the images are then digitized and stored. The Nuvera™ also accepts jobs directly from computer files over the campus computer network.

Electronic Manipulation
Once images are input to the Nuvera™ , their contrast and brightness can be enhanced; they can be resized, cropped or masked; line art, photographs and halftones can be placed into text pages. Each file is manipulated separately; then, multiple files can be combined into one ready-to-print document.

Output
Printing at 600 dpi, black ink only, the Nuvera™ can accommodate many types of paper in both 8.5" x 11" and 11" x 17" sizes. Paper types include bond, text, book, cover, perforated, carbonless and transparency. The Nuvera™ can load up to three kinds of paper at once, and one document can include multiple paper types. It has a maximum output rate of 135 pages per minute, and in addition to standard one-sided pages, the Nuvera™ can also duplex and create booklets.

Print on Demand
If requested, Digital Publishing & Printing Services will save your file electronically in a "Nuvera™ -ready" format therefore, you can save time and money by ordering on the first run a quantity you would accept as a minimum. Then, whenever you are in need of additional copies, you can simply call, fax, e-mail, etc... and let us know what you need.
