Some NetIDs deactivated Nov. 3
Monday, October 26, 2009DoIT deactivates NetID-related service accounts (i.e., My UW, WiscMail, WiscCal and dial access) for non-eligible students, faculty and staff at regular intervals. The last deactivation was on Tuesday, November 3, 2009. Those who are valid students or who have valid appointments with the University should not see their service affected.
Anyone who believes his or her account is being deactivated in error should use the NetID Deactivation Assistant at https://www.mynetid.wisc.edu/deactivation. A grace period (effective until Tuesday, December 1 at 8:00 a.m.) is available upon request via the NetID Deactivation Assistant. E-mail forwards set before or during the grace period will be honored until May 15, 2010. Please note forwards cannot be set after the grace period expiration date. DoIT reserves the right to exclude messages identified as highly likely to be bulk mail (spam) from the allowable forwarded mail.
Deactivation is done, in part, to create more space and accounts for people who continue to be part of the UW-Madison community. If you have questions, contact the Help Desk at (608) 264-HELP or see DoIT's eligibility policy at Policy.
