Receive voice mail messages via email
Thursday, February 05, 2009
Question: One of my colleagues receives voice mail messages via email. Can I do this, too?
Answer: Yes. DoIT’s Enabled Voice Mail (EVM) system enables you to receive voice mails in your email inbox. It’s free of charge if you already have a University telephone with voicemail activated. If you find yourself checking your email more often than checking your phone for voice mail, EVM might be for you.
If you’re a first-time EVM user, the Help Desk has instructions for setting up EVM. Set it up, and you’ll get your voicemail in your inbox!
EVM also has the following features:
- Delete messages from a Web browser
- Receive faxes via email
- Receive only alerts of new voicemails (instead of all voicemails delivered to you)
Still have questions? Call the Help Desk at 608-264-HELP (4357). They’ll be happy to assist you.
