Campus VPN service – why
you might need it
A Virtual Private Network (VPN) lets you use your remote connection
as though you were still on campus. VPN is needed to access
restricted campus resources when you are using a remote connection
such as private DSL or Cable Modem service, a hotel or airport connection,
etc. VPN service is free. You will need to download
a client (Windows and Macintosh versions available) and install
it. More about VPN.
Commercial DSL and Cable Modem Service
DoIT does not provide DSL or Cable Modem service. Please check your local listings for commercial service providers.
Connecting solutions for workgroups
DoIT offers a variety of remote connection methods for workgroups
and departments including a LAN-to-LAN VPN and a Dedicated Circuits
service. More about remote connection
solutions for workgroups.
