Group Directories
My WebSpace Group Directories are available for use by departments and groups on campus. A Group Directory is a directory that is not associated with a personal My WebSpace account, but is located in a separate “Group Directories” area of My WebSpace. Each Group Directory has its own identity, trash can, storage quota and bandwidth quota that are separate from that of the users that have access to it. A primary administrator and backup administrator must be specified for each top level Group Directory that is created. When the Group Directory is created, My WebSpace bookmarks to the Group Directory will automatically be created for the administrators.These administrators will be responsible for setting the permissions and managing the trash can for the main directory.
Campus departments, committees and other groups can request a My WebSpace Group Directory on-line. Each Group Directory will initially be allocated 1GB of storage quota and 1GB per hour of bandwidth quota. Additional space can also be requested using the My WebSpace Feeback Form.
The features of My WebSpace remain the same, however Group Directories provide an easier way to share files among department or committee members. For further information, please see the links below.
