Movers: Recycle, donate and dispose of unwanted items responsibly

It’s that time of year when Madison renters move out of the old and into their new apartments and homes. With moving comes lots of junk (or treasures) littering the city curbs. Not necessarily.

In an effort to encourage student movers to donate usable items to charity and to dispose of trash and recyclables properly, local partner agencies — the UW-Madison Office of Sustainability and We Conserve program, city of Madison, Society of St. Vincent de Paul, and the student group REthink Wisconsin — are offering options to donate and recycle unwanted items.
