WiscList : Send a Mailing
- Verify the mailing list you want to send to is selected (see Selecting a list).
- Click on Mailings, then New Mailing.

- Fill out the New Mailing form
- Mailing name: a label seen only by the list administrator to help find the mailing later. The default is the current date and time, but you may want to choose a more descriptive label.
- From: from whom the message is being sent. By default, it is your email address, but you may change this field to a name and email address of your choosing.
- To: this field designates how the recipient's name and address will be formatted when the mailing is sent. Note that this field does not determine who will receive the mailing. The default is %%nameemail%%, which merges the recipient's name and email address. For more information on the formatting syntax, click here.
- Subject: this will appear as the subject heading of the mailing in the recipients' mailboxes.
- Text message: If you would like to send the mailing as plain text, type your message in this box.
- HTML message: If you would like to formate your message using HTML, type your message in this box.

- When you are satisfied with your message, click on
to continue. You may also click on Save and Test to send yourself a sample of the mailing to preview what it will look like.

- Once you save the message, you will be brought to the Need Approval table. This table lists all the mailings that have yet to be approved to be sent. To approve the message we just created, click on Send.

- You will be brought to a final confirmation screen. Click on OK to send the mailing out.
