WiscList : Applying for an RSO WiscList Site
Before applying, verify that you meet the eligibility requirements. Note that this page describes the application process for RSO applicants only. If you are a regular WiscList applicant, click here for more information on your application.
To apply for an RSO WiscList site, click on Apply in the WiscList menu on our website at http://www.doit.wisc.edu/lists/wisclist. Then, click on RSO Application Form. You will see an application form with the following fields:
RSO Organizaiton Name
Name of the Registered Student Organization that you represent.
Full Name -
The full name (first and last) of the person who will be the administrator.
Phone
Campus phone number where the administrator can be reached.
Email address
Email address of the administrator
Confirm email address
Retype the above email address, for verification.
Site name
Desired name for the site. A site is a collection of mailing lists; a name similar to your RSO is most appropriate. No spaces are allowed, but you may use underscores ( _ ).
Password
Password for the site. The site administrator will use this, along with the site name, to log in to ListManager and create mailing lists.
Confirm password
Retype the password for verification.
Agree to WiscList's terms and conditions by selecting "Yes" in the drop-down box, then click Submit to submit the application. WiscList administrators will review the application, and upon approval, send you an email notifying you the site was created. This will take 1-2 business days. You can then login at http://lists.wisc.edu with the site name and password, and create your first mailing list. Be sure to check out the Getting Started tutorial at this point.
