AdvisorList Utility

The AdvisorList Utility includes the following information:
 

  • personalized mailing list names
     
  • list of advisees by email address and name
     
  • list of guest members as provided by the advisor
     
  • advisors (from ISIS) are members of the list (all advisors will therefore receive copies of the emails sent to list)
     
  • advisors are listed in bold and considered list administrators
     
  • AdvisorLists are announcement lists only, so guests that are added may also send emails to the lists but do not have access to the Utility
     
  • access to additional documentation
     
  • If an additional administrator is needed for access to the Utility email advisorlist@lists.wisc.edu

As part of this Utility you will have the ability to:

  • create main AdvisorList with all advisees
     
  • create sublists based on criteria such as term, class, school or college, academic plan and cumulative GPA
     
  • disable or delete AdvisorList and sublists
     
  • add and remove guest members
     
  • grant email privileges to guest members
     
  • receive email yes/no for multiple advisor email addresses

  • normal advisee list members (data direct from ISIS)
     
  • advisors (list administrators) - direct from ISIS
