Students, faculty, and staff at UW-Madison now have free access to almost 1,200 self-paced online courses and more than 50,000 individual tutorials through Lynda.com @ UW-Madison. This diverse catalog is available through My UW-Madison and is supported by DoIT. It includes software training, programming lessons, and even “concept” tutorials on topics such as design and photography.
You have 24×7 access to tutorials on topics such as Excel, Dreamweaver, Google Apps, Photoshop and more. You can play, pause, and rewind any of the lessons available either as single tutorials or as part of a whole course. Stay current and keep your skills sharp; learn innovative and productive techniques.
“Lynda.com will be a valuable addition to the teaching and learning community at the UW,” said Greg Konop, interim director of DoIT’s Professional Technical Education. “It will help students looking for a quick how-to solution for a class project, departmental staff working to master software they need to do their jobs better, or faculty brushing up on the technology that their students need to know.”
UW-Madison faculty, staff and students can access the tutorials by logging into My UW-Madison with your NetID. Students access Lynda.com through My UW’s Learning tab. Faculty and staff can access Lynda.com through the Services tab in My UW.
