Job Scheduling Services
Secure File Transfers
Files with sensitive data that are transferred from one physical location to
another should be considered a candidate for the Secure Transfer process. Customer Application Services (CAS)
works with customers who request secure file transfers to gather information
to coordinate the security, setup of account(s), file transfer protocol, programming
changes, job and jobstream setup, scheduling, and more. Once the transfer goes
into production, the appropriate Job Scheduling Services (JSS) technician becomes responsible for
such things as monitoring, problem identification and resolution, and customer
liaison for existing transfers.
Since each request can be unique, it is important that the coordination be
done as consistently as possible and by a single source. If you know you have a secure transfer that needs to be set up, please use the link below to download a document to get the process started. Complete as much information as possible and send it as an attachment to CAS.
XFER Questionnaire
If you're unsure about whether your request qualifies for a secure transfer or if you have any other questions about this process, you should contact CAS by sending an email to batchscheduling@lists.wisc.edu.
