DoIT is in the process of upgrading the UWNet wireless infrastructure to campus buildings. The upgrade is now 65% complete, and you’ll see enhancements starting August 12. The big news is that you will only need to login once per semester per device!
When connecting to UWNet, you’ll have two login options: NetID Authentication or Guest Authentication. UWNet allows roaming on campus between buldings without re-authenticating, and will only require login once per semester. The UWNet-Guest will still require daily login. WiscVPN is strongly recommended for all wireless, for security reasons.
Please note these changes do not apply to buildings with UWNet-BuildingName wireless logins until those buildings have been converted to the new wireless.
