Tech Support: Help Desk
With about 6 million hits to the self-help web pages, and over 8000 walk-ins and 92,000 phone calls (608 264-HELP) each year, the DoIT Help Desk is a thriving campus resource. The Help Desk offers a range of options for students, faculty and staff to get their technical problems resolved quickly and at no cost, including a Live Chat service and an additional new walk-in location at Memorial Union. kb.wisc.edu/helpdesk
Repair and Desktop Support (RaDS)
DoIT offers competitive rates for hardware and software installation, and disk wipes, and is an authorized warranty service center for Apple, Dell and Hewlett Packard.
Training
DoIT’s Professional Technical Education provides a full continuum of affordable workforce training services to UW staff and the broader community, including custom web-based trainings, lab rentals, and a wide range of affordable training classes (e.g., Access, Dreamweaver, Linux Operating System, PowerPoint). DoIT Tech Store
The DoIT Tech Store, located at 1210 W. Dayton Street, carries Dell and Apple computers, dozens of competitively priced software applications, supplies (e.g., ink cartridges, mailing labels) and other parts and peripherals (e.g., RAM, printers, wireless cards, cables).
