Computing Essentials for Departments
This guide is an overview of Division of Information Technology (DoIT) services--both free and fee-based--that are available to UW-Madison departments, IT personnel and program administrators. The guide is divided into three sections listed on the menu at left. A companion guide, Computing Essentials for Faculty and Staff, that lists additional computing services (e.g., productivity tools, technical support and purchasing, teaching and research resources, security software), is also available. These resources can save departments significant time, effort and money. DoIT staff are happy to meet with campus groups to offer demonstrations, discuss any of these resources, or work together to create solutions to departmental IT challenges.
