Tech Assistance & Purchasing
With over 10 million hits to its self-help Web pages, 7,000 walk-ins, 4,000 chats and 70,000 phone calls to (608) 264-HELP, the DoIT Help Desk is a thriving campus resource. The Help Desk offers a range of options for students, faculty and staff to resolve their technical problems quickly and at no cost, including a Live Chat service and an additional walk-in location at Memorial Union.
Repair and Departmental Support
DoIT installs, repairs and supports computers and networked systems for students, faculty, staff and departments at UW-Madison. We offer competitive rates for hardware and software installation, virus removal and disk wipes, and we are an authorized warranty service center for Apple and Dell computers and Hewlett Packard laser printers. The DoIT Tech Store, located at 1210 W. Dayton Street, carries Dell and Apple computers, dozens of competitively priced software applications, supplies (e.g., ink cartridges, mailing labels) and other parts and peripherals (e.g., RAM, printers, wireless cards, cables).
