Equipment for Loan
The Digital Media Center offers an equipment for loan program to increase access to the technologies needed to both produce and display multimedia content in classes on the UW-Madison campus. Equipment is available to UW-Madison faculty, academic staff and graduate students. Appointments are required to loan equipment. Please call us at (608) 265-4817 to make your equipment reservation.

eInstruction CLASSROOM PERFORMANCE SYSTEM (1 Available)
This 32-pad loaner unit is intended for non-recurring trial or training purposes only. If after testing you are interested in purchasing, please visit the campus eInstruction website to learn more. The Digital Media Center does not provide technical support for the eInstruction clicker unit. Technical questions/help can be referred to eInstruction at 888-333-4988. A consultation with local support personnel or an Academic Technology consultant can be useful to determine the best ways to integrate the technology into the classroom.

Usage Policies
- Eligibility: The equipment is available to faculty, instructional staff, and graduate students of the UW-Madison for campus projects and presentations. Use of the equipment for instruction or to present research materials in the classroom will be given highest priority.
- Loan Period: The maximum loan period is three days. We ask that you check out equipment for only the time you need it so we can make it available to as many people as possible.
- What's Not Included?
- Batteries: Batteries for equipment, such as the wireless mics, wired mics and digital still cameras, are the responsibility of the borrower. Please plan on providing 9 volt (wireless microphones), AA batteries (wired microphones), and/or 1.5V alkaline battery (lavaliere microphones) as needed for your use of this equipment.
- Video cameras and laptops contain rechargeable batteries which are provided but are NOT guaranteed to be charged. Please plan to charge equipment prior to your use.
- Tapes: DV tapes for video cameras are not provided. You can purchase them at the DoIT Tech Store.
- Insurance: The equipment is insured under UW coverage. There is a $500 deductible for which you can be held liable if the equipment is damaged or stolen. There is a $2500 deductible if there is no evidence of theft. The equipment is insured within the United States. For use outside the United States, please see Risk Management's website.
- Place of Use: Presentation equipment (laptops, projectors) is only for use on campus. Other equipment for media acquisition (digital video cameras, still cameras, etc.) may be taken off campus. Using the equipment outside the guidelines will make you responsible for total repair or replacement costs.
By signing the Equipment for Loan agreement you accept responsibility for loss, theft, damage, and/or replacement of the equipment.
