Assistance/Consults
The DMC Design Lab is a place where you can ask questions, experiment, and create. Our Design Lab is equipped with the software, equipment, and staff to help you with your instructional multimedia needs. If we cannot help find a solution we will find someone on campus who can. Our four PC stations and three Mac stations are available for your use. Call us at (608) 265-4817 to make an appointment or for more information.

Policies
- The DMC Design Lab is open to faculty, staff and graduate students across campus working on UW projects related to research and/or teaching. The design lab is not available for work on personal projects.
- Walk-ins are welcome, but appointments are recommended. Our services are offered on a first come, first serve basis. If you want to ensure the availability of equipment or staff, please make an appointment. When we know in advance what your needs are we can prepare better for your arrival.
- The DMC consultants are trained in a wide variety of applications and equipment. We will do our best to assist you, but we may need to consult with or refer you to other professionals on campus to get you the best service available. The DMC staff is here to guide you, but is not available to do production work for you. (We do offer some drop-off services. See our digitization and duplication services.)
- We do not offer phone support. If you would like phone support assistance please call the DoIT Help Desk at 264-4357.
- You must bring media to store your materials on. The DMC does not offer space on our machines nor servers to store your materials.
Storage media is available the DoIT Tech Store. If you are working on a large project we recommend purchasing an external firewire drive to store your project.

Alan Wolf, an instructional technologist has a PhD in biology. He helps instructors integrate technology into their curricula and other educational efforts. Josh Harder, our facility manager has his bachelor of science in journalism and mass communication. He manages the DMC's daily activities, marketing and outreach, and the consultants that are the core of this facility. Josh specializes in print and web design with an emphasis on accessibility.
