The DMC classroom has been recently upgraded to 17" iMacs. These iMacs are able to boot into Mac OSX or Windows XP environment. This allows the classroom to be used to teach PC applications that can not be installed on Mac OSX.

Macintosh Computer Classroom

The DMC classroom is located on the first floor of the Biotechnology Building in room 1240. It is available for use by all faculty and staff teaching time-table courses for credit at UW-Madison. The room is available for a one-time use and/or semester long reoccurring reservations.

The classroom includes 17 dual boot iMac workstations, all with a wide range of multimedia software and five flatbed scanners. A dedicated Mac instructor station, document camera, VHS & DVD player, or your own laptop can be projected and heard through our state-of-the-art projection system.

Our remote conferencing capabilities can connect your students to off-site experts or students at other locations!

To request a reservation, fill out the DMC Classroom Request Form. Your reservation request will go to the manager who will determine availability and contact you.

Non UW-Madison Course Use

The classroom is available for half-day ($275), full-day ($485) or hourly ($82) rentals for non UW-Madison time-table use.

Stated rates are for Wisconsin government and non-profit groups. For non-state or non-UW clients a 21% surcharge and tax apply (tax exempt companies do not pay tax). Rates do not include custom software installations or workstation customization which cost $64 per hour of labor.
