Data Access Tools

(Hyperion Performance Suite 8)

The Hyperion Foundation is a central web portal which provides a framework for organizing and presenting data in a range of formats, including detailed, summary and historical data. The Foundation provides access to the most common pre-written data query services on the UW Madison campus, but it also allows users to connect to various Oracle databases on campus to write their own queries.

Services at the UW-Madison currently utilizing the Hyperion Performance Suite to present data include; InfoAccess, Query Library, WISDM, DoIT CBS, Office of Quality Improvement (OQI), Office of Campus Information Security (OCIS), School of Medicine & Public Health and the Registrars Office.

This site is dedicated to providing access to the appropriate Hyperion tools (Explorer Client and/or Intelligence plug-in) and information in support of these tools which collaborate with the Hyperion Foundation.

Hyperion Intelligence Explorer (Full client):

A full desktop client for experienced query writers and publishers of queries. This software requires Oracle connection software version 9+.

Hyperion iServer (HTML based):

A pure web based interface (iHTML) which allow users with just a web browser to deliver real-time, interactive access to published query documents. There is no plug-in or other software needed, it is pure HTML.
