DoIT CASI

The DoIT CASI was established in January 2000 to advise the CIO on matters concerning Academic Staff members. Our initial elections were in February 2000. We are a group of people who are committed to representing the best interests of the Academic Staff at DoIT. The CASI representatives meet on a monthly basis to discuss issues of concern to Academic Staff.

Please feel free to contact any of the CASI committee representatives with
questions or concerns at casi@doit.wisc.edu.

Approved April 30, 2008

Mission Statement
The DoIT Committee on Academic Staff Issues (CASI) strives to foster a work environment that helps DoIT Academic Staff thrive.

Our Operating Principles:

  • To provide a voice for Academic Staff to express concerns and provide input on campus issues, and disseminate that input to the appropriate Academic staff governance group(s);

  • To advise the CIO on all policies and procedures concerning academic staff members, including personnel policies;

  • To foster a work environment that helps all staff thrive (e.g., creating a positive workplace climate, providing opportunities for social connection, improving workplace communication, offering health and wellness programs);

  • To encourage the growth and professional development of all staff (e.g., through CASI-sponsored workshops, panels, events and information programs).
