User Training
Students can attend free WiscCal training by visiting Software Training for Students. Faculty and staff can attend training by visiting Professional Technical Education and viewing the "calendar" category.
Additionally, there are two types of training available for specific WiscCal users:
Native Client users
Student Organization users
Native Client users
Here is a full description of the course: WiscCal: (Windows Client Version)
This training session will provide users with an overview of the WiscCal (Windows Client Version) calendaring software. The product is designed to help view, schedule and modify meetings, manage resources, tasks, and other entries. Participants in the training session will learn how to get started using WiscCal and have the opportunity to ask questions.
The hands-on training will include:
Program Overview:Scheduling Meetings:
- Advantages of using WiscCal
- Exploring your view options
Creating and Using Groups:
- Creating meetings and inviting other users
- Using the online directory search
- Customizing access rights so others can view or edit your calendar
- Viewing and scheduling individual or group meetings using advanced features
- Interacting with department resources
Overview of Other Entries:
- Creating Private and Members Only groups for scheduling meetings
Responding to Proposals:
- Creating Tasks
- Creating Day Events
- Creating Daily Notes
Customizing Options:
- Replying to meeting invitations in a variety of ways
- Modify the client to use your preferred settings
- Printing tips

Student Organization users
Organizing the Communication for your Student Organization will show students the most effective ways to share information within a group, set up meetings and events, and keep track of multiple schedules using WiscCal and Listserves.
