WiscCal

Clients & Syncing Software

Web Client

You can access WiscCal immediately through any computer with an Internet connection using the WiscCal web client. Just click the "Log in" link on this site, the calendar icon in My UW-Madison, or through many other campus web sites, such as www.wisc.edu.

Desktop Clients

In addition to web access, you can use WiscCal by downloading and installing the Oracle desktop software (also called a "desktop client" or a "native client") on your computer. Desktop software provides the most flexible, user-friendly interface for accessing and managing your calendar, giving you multiple methods for performing simple functions such as finding suitable meeting times with others. Desktop clients are available for Mac, Windows, Linux and Solaris. Download them here. And remember, you can use both a desktop client on your primary computer(s) and the web client from campus kiosks, computer labs or public computers, so you’ll always have access to your calendar.

Outlook Connector

Though most units on campus now use WiscCal, some departments use Microsoft Outlook or other calendar software. Oracle supports a Connector for Outlook 2007 for users who want to view their WiscCal calendar through Windows Outlook. Download it here.

Smart Phone & Wireless Device Syncing

WiscCal service provides a synchronization method called Oracle Mobile Data Sync which takes advantage of the OMA-DS (Open Mobile Alliance - Data Synchronization) protocol (formerly known as the SyncML protocol) to deliver true remote synchronization of data with a wide range of OMA-DS-enabled devices.
