Division of Information Technology Chief Operating Officer John Krogman has named Brandon Bernier as the new Director of User Services.
Bernier (Burn-yur) comes from Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan, where he was most recently Assistant Dean for University Libraries, which included oversight of their User Support Services department. He has also managed Student Affairs Technology. He will begin his new role in Madison on June 1.
“We are very excited to have Brandon joining our team. He brings great expertise, enthusiasm and energy to this strategic campus position,” said John Krogman. “I want to thank the Search and Screen Committee, led by Joanne Jones, for their exemplary work in assembling a superb finalist pool. My thanks as well to all the User Services staff and campus partners who actively participated in the process and provided valuable and thoughtful feedback.”
DoIT’s User Services department supports the UW-Madison community with the purchase, repair, help and support of IT goods and services. The Department includes the Tech Store, Help Desk, Repair and Desktop Support, computer labs and kiosks, and licensing.
