*Bucky Backup is available to anyone who can provide a DoIT number or UDDS direct charge information.
How to subscribe
- When registering for Bucky Backup support you have two options for method of payment:-Have your Business Office establish a D number (https://www.doit.wisc.edu/about/billing/doitnumber/) with DoIT if one does not already exist. Campus requisitions will no longer exist after June 30, 2007.
-You can have charges made directly to your UDDS.
-
Register on the web site as a new user. Define a password for yourself and a unique "node name" for your machine. By the next business day, you will receive an email message from DoIT confirming your node name and password and welcoming you as a Bucky Backup user. As part of the registration form you can also select to have DoIT install Bucky Backup on individual desktops or servers at no charge.
-
Once you have received email message from DoIT, go to install page, select operating system and download TSM client.
- Start backing up your hard drive or server.
