Point #6 of the UW policy provides information about training and web
accessibility resources available from the DoIT
web accessibility resource web page.
There are many types of training available to designers. Examples include free
courses that teach individuals how to use accessible UW templates, training
that takes faculty from understanding what a web page is through the use of
web editing software, and specialized training on software such as Macromedia
Dreamweaver. Designers may find this training from the web accessibility resource
page.
This course is one of many informational sites that focus on web accessibility.
Individuals like Jim Thatcher and organizations such as WebAim are recognized
as web accessibility experts. Their web sites are available as resources from
the DoIT web accessibility page.
There are also several videos that the University has put together regarding
web accessibility. These videos are also accessible from the resource page.
