The person in this position will assume a lead role in the development and enhancement of Java-based web-based application systems employing the use of complex, emerging technology. This individual will consult with other technical staff during the functional design of applications and will provide technical leadership to other IT professionals during the technical design and program development phases. The design solutions will likely include cross platform integration using vendor packages and custom software.
Typical duties of this position include: participate in the analysis and high-level functional design of systems; independently develop technical designs; perform complex programming activities; and troubleshoot/debug production system problems. This position is also responsible for directing and coordinating efforts of other IS professional staff. The position provides technical expertise and administration direction to the development of new systems and to the maintenance and support of operational systems.
