For Students

Software Training for Students (free classes)
Software Training for Students (STS) offers free computer training to registered UW-Madison students. STS strives to offer training that is linked to degree-credit course work or future job placement and helps students stay current with software updates.

Student Technical Training (for students pursuing campus IT employment)
Student Technical Training specializes in training students for campus IT support work within the unique environment of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. STT takes students from every discpline within the university, and equips them with the skills that they need to acquire and excel in campus IT positions.

Information Technology Academy (for high school students)
Sponsored by the UW-Madison Division of Information Technology (DoIT), ITA is an innovative, 4-year pre-college technology access and training program for talented students of color and economically disadvantaged students attending Madison Public Schools. Our mission is to prepare students for technical, academic, and personal excellence in today’s Information Age. Selected students receive four years of intensive training in preparation for high tech, IT related careers; in addition to intensive academic support in preparation for competitive University admissions and study.
