Center for Instructional Materials and Computing (CIMC)
In support of curriculum at the School of Education, the CIMC provides computing services in the form of open and classroom labs, media equipment and support, web space for instruction, and web services for SoE programs. School of Education faculty, staff and students, and area teachers are invited to participate in the CIMC’s Media, Information Literacy, and Technology Integration workshops. In addition to scheduled workshops, sessions can be designed or adapted as course-integrated instruction for specific classes, or scheduled as consultation for individuals, meetings, or groups.

Technology Learning Center (for University housing students)
The Technology Learning Centers are eight computer labs conveniently placed in various Residence Halls on campus. Our computers contain a variety of software from Microsoft Office 2007 to the Adobe Creative Suite. Additionally, we offer a variety of academic programs including our peer education workshops, and Microsoft Excel workshops tailored for chemistry students as well as social activities such as gaming nights.

University of Wisconsin-Madison Library
Library workshops and tours teach you how to find what you need quickly and efficiently. These tools are beneficial when deadlines for papers and projects approach. The semester calendars of workshops and tours are available on the Library’s Web site. Most are hands-on and they are all free. Registration is not required, unless otherwise noted. Check the site periodically as new workshops may be added during the semester. If you can’t attend a workshop you need, many libraries offer group and/or individual sessions.

Wisconsin Union Mini-courses
